Challenge

Photojeania is inspired photography and fine art portraiture for weddings, families, children, and high school seniors.  Comduit's challenge was to create a simple, visual, elegant website that showcases Photojeania's outstanding portfolio of images.

Solutions

Comduit created a simple, but elegant site that incorporates slideshows into the main page for each section.  Rather than bringing visitors into the portfolio, they brought the portfolio to the visitors.  The home page includes a slideshow with cheerful piano music that shows off some of Photojeania's best images.  The main wedding photography page includes a slideshow with wedding music that shows off some of Photojeania's best wedding images.  Sections for families, children, and high-school seniors contain their own slideshows showcasing the appropriate images from Photojeania's portfolio.  The slideshows use the "Ken Burns" effects of zooming and panning through images so they appear to have life.  Navigation is simple and content is minimal - just enough to create interest - so the focus is on Photojeania's images.

Results

Photojeania has one of the best online presentations in the photography industry.  The images come alive with the well chosen music and subtle movement.  Navigating the site, you can't help but be impressed with the quality of the photography.
